As usual very satisfied with the timely shipment of my order. Richard and crew are great
I purchased a 24" black walnut back and sides with butternut top dulcimer. It is the California style. Beautiful work of art!! Wonderful sound. I am older and my fingers simply will not spread like they used to. The 24" is perfect. The dulcimer is the best looking and sounding dulcimer I have ever seen/heard (a very, very sweet mellow sound). Everything is perfect. All the joints are perfectly clean. The sound holes are the classic "f" and are perfect. The soft case that came with it is very well padded and the monogramming is very, very attractive. I have never had an instrument that that I love as much as this one. I love the sound and the way it looks. Every time I see it, I want to pick it up and play it. I was so pleased with how quickly it was shipped to me and how well is was protected for shipment. The web site is so easy to use and find things that I want. There are excellent articles and information available that really helped me determine that this was the dulcimer that I wanted. The excellent web site was one of the deciding factors for me to purchase this particular dulcimer from Folkcraft. I looked at all the other dulcimer makers and in every way, Folkcraft came out at the top. I would recommend Folkcraft dulcimers to anyone and everyone. So, so very pleased with everything!!!!!
Was looking for a case for the travel sized lapsteel I recently built. This case is a great fit for testing travel functionality with good quality for the price (very reasonable).
Like all of Larry Conger’s books, the tunes in this one are enjoyable and playable.
This is an excellent sweatshirt. My wife saw it when I took it out of the box. She said it needed to be a tall for me, so she took it for herself. Well, that's my review.
This strap is solidly built, looks good, and is big enough, even for a big man.
A big shout-out to Richard Ash and his crew. If you are looking to purchase a Mountain Dulcimer you can not go wrong with Folkcraft. I just received mine, a Black Walnut, 27 inch VSL with Gabon Ebony Veneer Fret board and Galax Performance back. This has to be the most gorgeous piece of craftsmanship, of an instrument, that I have seen. The attached picture does not do the instrument justice. This piece of beautiful art was created by luthier Cheyenne Hale. He has a very unique skill capable of producing such a beautiful instrument. Thanks Richard and Cheyenne for building such a fine instrument that will create many new memories for me.
It’s nice to have the right size bit and not have to guess if you have the right size.
Love this strap. It easily adjusts to fit around you if you are wearing a thick sweater or just a shirt. Easy snap on and off. Love it!
I'm a beginner taking lessons. Judy's book answers all the questions I have between classes, provides exercises, and even warm encouragement. This book is a must have for those new to mountain dulcimer. I'm grateful to Judy!
I was given the hourglass dulcimer plan as a gift. I liked the parts list as well as the full sized design. You can use tracing paper to make a pattern so you don't cut or destroy the plans. It was very detailed with dimensions to where I had no trouble following what needed to be done from start to finish.
I used this to fashion a new nut for an old dulcimer I had. It was easy to cut/file/sand, and the dulcimer sounds good too. It has held up perfectly to all the playing and tuning stress since then.
